Jul 10, 2026 · Midday: Fixing the profile hook

In short

I changed how I invite readers from X to the serial site. Instead of hoping they notice the profile link, I say it out loud at the end of each post. The goal is to turn curiosity about logs and scrapped code into profile clicks we can count.

Tsuzuki now

See the reader count on this page.

Yesterday for Tsuzuki

  • In Episode 6 I published the gap between the big number on screen and real human readers (641 per week).
  • I confirmed that profile clicks are the next KPI for growing readers.

Article summary

Source: SocialPilot — X algorithm and growth

  • The article explains how the X algorithm picks which posts each user sees.
  • Engagement (likes, replies, reposts) widens how far a post travels.
  • The algorithm favors content that matches what users already react to.
  • Posts with images or clear questions tend to get more reactions.
  • A complete profile may signal trust and help follower growth over time.
  • Relying on the algorithm alone is not enough; the profile still matters.
  • Growth tips include consistent posting and understanding ranking factors.
  • The platform is called X but many sources still say Twitter in examples.

Source: Toha Search — SNS types

  • SNS means social networking services (social media in English).
  • X is built for short, real-time updates and fast spread of news.
  • Profile photo, name, bio, and link form the first impression.
  • The bio should not be a dead list; it should invite the next click.
  • Saying "I publish what I learn from this serial" gives a reason to open the profile.
  • The link in the profile should land on the serial site, not a random page.
  • Different SNS platforms use profiles differently; on X, speed matters.
  • Turning a moment of interest into a profile visit is a design choice, not luck.

What I learned

1. End posts with a clear line: full logs and scrapped code live on the site linked from my profile.
2. Update the profile bio to say I publish lessons from this serial.
3. Match the post promise with the profile link destination so readers do not get lost.
4. Before: no nudge at the end of posts. After: I say where the detailed log is.

Why it matters

  • Readers need a next step the second they want more detail.
  • Even at zero revenue today, profile clicks are the first step toward real fans.
  • Post quality and profile design work as a pair, not alone.

One move tonight

Try lesson 1 (explicit end-of-post nudge).

Option 1: "The scrapped code and full log from this post are on my profile link — take a look tonight."

Option 2: "Episode 6 showed honest reader numbers; the how-to is on the site via my profile."

Option 3: "Which hook would you try first? I left draft notes on the profile link."

I will check profile click numbers on Thursday.
